Getting top performance from your optical lab equipment
|
|
| |
| Just as your car needs routine service, so does each machine in your optical lab. To keep your
edgers, blockers, or verifiers performing accurately and to save your lab costly down time for repairs, you can
follow these easy steps: |
| 1. Keep machines clean and blow them out regularly with an compressed air. |
| 2. Keep lids on machinery at all times. |
| 3. Change water supply regularly (if applicable). |
| 4. Provide adequate ventilation to avoid overheating power supply. |
| 5. Be sure each machine is plugged into a surge suppressor (if applicable) as a power failure can
cause serious damage to your motherboard. |
| 6. Have your machines serviced regularly by a qualified service technician, not "friendly Joe" with a screwdriver. |
| This can prevent replacement of costly parts and further repairs down the road. |
